Bra wash bag - another packing hack

Ikeas PRESSA bra wash bags

So, here’s another packing hack: I buy PRESSA bra wash bags at Ikea, and use them to pack my electrical cords, selfie sticks, my KOPPLA 3-port USB charger from IKEA, and the cords and charger for my videokamera.

I also pack a long extension cord, because you never know if there’s a socket by your bed. Mine is KOPPLA 3-port USB charger from Ikea.

But a keep my adaptor plug, and an iPhone charger in my hand luggage. Suitcases get lost, you know.

How I Pack, or: The Pack Hack

So, I spent most of autumn 2017 on tour. Well, not really a tour, it was more like a sit down tour: a Stockholm show were I worked as a dresser moved to another town, Gothenburg, the second largest town in Sweden, and I went with it.

I thought I'd like touring, but as it turned out I didn't. I didn't hate it, but i found that I had less time to do the things I liked, like writing, editing and making movies.

We only did three shows a week; Thursday, Friday and two on Saturday, but all of Thursday went to traveling, and doing the show, and all of Sunday was spent traveling as well. We had to get up quite early, so when we got to Stockholm, which was only a five hour train ride, I was really tired.

I'm not much for drinking, so when some of the cast and crew went to the hotel bar, I went to my room, tried to write, but mosly saw a lot of Youtube movies.

It was there, on some channel, that I saw this great travel pack hack: basically you make a little bundle for each day: you place your underwear and socks on your folded t-shirt, with the top parts of your socks sticking out, then you roll everything inte a kind of fat sausage, and then sort of stuff the whole thing into the socks. The cons are that you don't know what t-shirt - or underwear, for that matter - you'd be wearing that day, but the pros are that it will be just like christmas, or your birthday, when you unravel your bundle.

I'm not very interested in fashion, so this hack suits me very well; it's easy to get an overall view of what you packed.

Oh; and yes, those bright pink and orange sausage looking things are my socks. I bought them at H&M, and the great bag - a backpack - is from Ikea, but now, sadly discontinued.
